CRIS (Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist)
I started my insurance career in 1997 while I was working for Georgia Pacific Chemicals. I officially obtained my insurance license in 1999. From that point, I made it my mission to be the best I could be in the insurance industry. Directly after getting licensed, I spent time researching my new industry. I did not want to be just another ordinary insurance agent/broker and I wanted much more for myself and my business. Over the next few years, I spent time taking continuing education classes and looking for specific insurance field training classes to broaden my knowledge. I discovered designation courses and at that point just needed to find the course that would provide the most benefit. In 2011 I started Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist courses, commonly known as CRIS. I completed the CRIS designation course in 2013 and went from being an ordinary insurance agent to a Risk Manager. Combined with my heavy industry experience with Georgia Pacific Chemicals, I could now provide my clients with my experience in safety and insurance issues. My life experiences have also helped me to assist my clients to enhance their business. I spent 5 years as a volunteer fire fighter for City of Ukiah Fire Department. I also spent 14 years in Mendocino Search and Rescue, 7 of which I was the Search and Rescue commander, responsible for the entire origination and day to day operations of SAR. I will never forget how I started in the insurance industry and it was by the grace of God. He has been my straight and guiding light in business and my family life.
